Item Autoria, devir e interdição: os “Entre-lugares” do sujeito no romance Úrsula(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2015-05-25) Rio, Ana Carla Carneiro; Fernandes Júnior, Antônio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9030434824436730; Fernandes Júnior, Antônio; Borges, Luciana; Gama-Kahlil, Marisa MartinsThis research aims to identify the "between-spots" of the subject from the title “Ursula” by Maria Firmina dos Reis, a romance from nineteenth century in Maranhão, located in the romantic temporality. This book, published in 1859, in the province of São Luis, Maranhão’s capital, has as a main theme some aspects of slavery and the inferiority conditions faced by women in colonial Maranhão in nineteenth-century society and the unprecedented presence of women as writers in the above-mentioned context. This scenario gives us the dimension of the analysis from some discursive formations of the characters and the knowledge about the author’s positions, identified by the pseudonym "Uma Maranhense" which constitutes the main subject of this dissertation. For the matter of the development of this research, we opted for the theoretical postulates of Discourse’s analysis (DA) by the French line of work, which seeks to stablish a closer dialogue with Michel Foucault, from where we will discuss details of the relation between history and literature by Foucault, in order to see how these concepts can be integrated into the DA’s field. Throughout the work, we heed to Foucault's concepts of author, history, subject and power. Added to the Foucault’s postulates, the concept of "become", designed by Gilles Deleuze, who had helped us to understand the romance as a "between-spot", which indicates both the membership of the author to literary discursive practices of the century XIX and the breakdown of some established models. Primarily, this research deals with the DA’s disciplinary fields , embraces the context of Maranhão’s nineteenth-century society related to literature and customs of society and discusses the theories that will support the analysis. Finally, it develop some analysis about novel’s sequence enunciations, which deals with the issue of female authors writing in the nineteenth century and the subaltern condition of women and blacks in Maranhão’s society. In this sense, the analysis, from the "between-spots" inside the novel’s speech , we analyze the movement that indicates a dialogue between the authorial project mentioned in the prologue with the characters and narrator’s words, from the discursive formations around the slavery, female submission and patriarchy. With the Foucault’s help, we understand that discourses are always related to society and history; For this reason, the analysis of the discursive events in “Ursula” led us to question why this work would be out of the canon and understand how the discursive practices of the nineteenth century tried to ban works by female authors and abolitionist themes.Item Diálogo e interdiscurso na literatura de autoajuda(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2014-01-29) Ribeiro, Lady Daiane Martins; Stafuzza, Grenissa Bonvino; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0086982782870395; Stafuzza, Grenissa Bonvino; Ribeiro, Erislane Rodrigues; Santos, João Bôsco Cabral dosThe research "Dialogue and interdiscourse in self-help literature" aims at analyzing the interdiscursive and dialogical construction work on the book Você é insubstituível, written by Augusto Cury. The theoretical reflection is inscribed on the assumptions of discourse analysis from Michel Pêcheux ( 1997, 2002 , 2007, 2009 , 2011), focusing on the notions of subject and interdiscourse, also in dialogue with the philosophy of language from the Bakhtin Circle (1981, 2001, 2006 , 2011) on the theory of dialogism and the notion of subject. Pêcheux (2009), in dialogue with Foucault's theory, notes that the ideological formulations comprise the discursive formations (FD), thus resulting in the combination of different discourses, to what in Discourse Analysis, we call interdiscourse. These discourses that permeate the speech utterances are seized by linguistic materiality of events that are marked on the history and ideologies that transform and change in given language situations. In view of the Bakhtin Circle, discourse is not conceived as individual speech, but as significant instance in which other discourses - conveyed socio- historically and taking place in and by the interactions between subjects - intertwine and cross each other. In the analysis of discursive sequences, we found that the enunciator subject of self-help discourse who is presented on the book Você é insubstituível, appropriates various socially legitimated discourses as a way to validate his own speech. We focused our reflection on the analysis of capitalist, religious and scientific discourses once they are founder discourses that constitute the self-help discourse. Therefore, we seek from the corpus analysis identify interdiscursivity (other discourses) as well as the dialogues (the interaction between different words) in the book Você é insubstituível, as well as to analyze the production of meaning in the confrontation between the capitalist, religious and scientific discursivities in the constitution of self-help discourse.Item Discursos da mídia jornalística sobre a universidade: a Universidade Federal de Goiás em foco(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2015-03-27) Souza, Fábio Márcio Gaio de; Stafuzza, Grenissa Bonvino; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0086982782870395; Stafuzza , Grenissa Bonvino; Ribeiro, Erislane Rodrigues; Araújo, Marcelo MarquesThis study arose from the need for reflection on the interaction between news media and university from the discourse perspective. In this direction, a few issues have been raised concerning the discourses published on O Popular (The Popular Newspaper) and Jornal UFG (UFG Newspaper) about the Federal University of Goiás. Therefore, four topics were selected among articles published by both newspapers between 2010 and 2013, namely: UFG 50th Anniversary, the Espaço das Profissões (a vocational guidance event held by the institution), UFG construction and expansion works, and student demonstrations. Based on the chosen topics and from the discourse standpoint, the aim was to reflect on the subjects‟ positions, the ideologies supporting subjects and discourses, the meanings built through them, and their heterogeneity and verbal-visual resources. The reflections were based on the dialogue between communication and journalism theories, using the traditional French Discourse Analysis, in an attempt to analyze the news media not only in terms of the writing techniques applied, or their responsibility to inform society, but also as a space for discourse construction and diffusion, where there is no room for impartiality and where subjects shift positions within discourse-based relations. Discourse is herein seen as dynamic, lively, and transparent with regard to the ideological, historical and social context. In this sense, it will always be possible to build other discourses and meanings upon what is published or not about UFG by the news media. The study was meant to reflect on the commercial and institutional discourse of the news media, whether partial or impartial, the discourse-based relation between the media and the university, and the perception of diverse media discourses and subjects about the university. Considering the characteristics and the institutional bias, the discourses published by each of the newspapers, their ideological aspects, the subjects mobilized or not, and the way they are mobilized in each of the papers, it was understood that the university is seen from different points of view by those media and subjects. And such varied perceptions, discourses and subjects are a result of the diverse positions, institutional relations and discourses that underlie the news media articles about UFG.Item Do jovem para o jovem: discurso e sujeito na Pastoral da Juventude do Brasil(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2013-07-24) Santos, Edilair José dos Santos; Fernandes Júnior, Antônio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3938086418078218; Fernandes Júnior, Antônio; Stafuzza, Grenissa Bonvino; Sousa, Kátia Menezes deThis study aims to analyze the construction of the discourse of PJB the bias of Discourse Analysis of french line, to evaluate the formation of the discourse of youth ministry in the 1980s and early twenty-first century. It composes the corpus of this study two documents that list guidelines for the evangelization of Catholic youth in Brazilian historical periods indicated: the first is the document collection 44 studies (green collection) of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil, published in 1986, and the second document to be parsed is the document 85 of documents collection (blue collection) CNBB, published in 2007, on the occasion of the V Latin American Episcopal Conference in Aparecida (SP). This research supports in statements collected in the corpus from which we glimpse to analyze the words that cross political religious discourse of the Document 44 (1986) and the predominance of statements related to the sayings of the Pentecostal religious discourse in document 85 (2007). In our analyzes, we understand the statement as something that goes beyond the purely grammatical dimension and / or linguistic document or a text, something actually produced in its condition of enunciative function, which implies a subject, a support, a date and a place, even marking its condition, as Foucault explains in the Archeology of Knowledge. We take the statement as a methodological category that assisted us in reading the above documents, enabling us to realize the youth ministry documents the crossing of religious discourse with history and social issues. Moreover, we observe in the corpus objectification / subjectification of the young built by discursive practice of youth ministry at these periods to ratify the constitution of the subject indicated in the guidelines established by the documents, given that the processes of subjectivation are ways of life through which individuals constitute subjects. As our analytical approach focuses on analysis of documents, should be noted that the process of subjectivity to which we refer will be taken as an indication or guideline outlined in the documents, in other words, the movement of objectivity / subjectivity will be taken as guidance for the youth who join or constitute themselves as subjects of this religious institution. In the Youth Ministry, they build a youth identity, because when joining this institution, and becomes a subject, the young takes an identity that is (re) defined by the teachings of Youth Ministry. Therefore, we propose to analyze the construction of desired identity that comes from subjective processes by which individuals-young will. Item “Loucura, insensatez, estado inevitável”: discurso, humor e ironia em Mamonas Assassinas(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2018-08-30) Lima, Maurício Divino Nascimento; Fernandes Júnior, Antônio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9030434824436730; Fernandes Júnior, Antônio; Stafuzza, Grenissa Bonvino; Dorne, Vinícius DurvalHumor is a resource exploited by many subjects to materialize / reproduce different discourses. The band Mamonas Assassinas has in its compositions a place populated by discourses that abuse of irony and debauchery, and at the same time manage to illustrate critics to the modernity of the globalized life. So much so that, twenty years after the end of the band, its utterances continue to produce current sense effects. In "Madness, Nonsense, Inevitable State": discourse, humor and irony in Mamonas Assassinas, we aim to analyze the discourses and the positioning of the discursive subject present in the utterance reproduced by the band Mamonas Assassinas. The corpus of analysis was materialized in fourteen lyrics composed by the group, and the description /interpretation of these statements follows the perspective of the French Discourse Analysis, supported mainly by the studies of Michel Foucault and Mikhail Bakhtin. The theoretical support that bases the research comes mainly from the archegenealogical studies of Foucault, with regard to conceptions of enunciation, discursive subject and devices of power / knowledge. In order to understand how humor is configured in the reproduction of these statements, we rely mainly on Bakhtin’s study of Rabelais, also illustrating the concept of carnivalization. At the look of the band's constitution as a discursive subject, we searched for articles published in newspapers and magazines between 1995 and 1996 that approached the performance of the group, corroborating the positions that these statements made possible. The selected vehicles O Globo newspaper and Revista Veja magazine, because they are mechanisms of great circulation. In the analysis section, the statements of music lyrics are arranged in enunciative series that follow the regularities: social critic discourse, criticism discourse to consumerism, and resistance to sexuality power /knowledge device. The analysis transits into a dialogue between Foucault and Bakhtin's studies. Starting from these statements, we observe the discursive positioning of a determiner subject, who as resists the exercise of a power, as subscribes to it. However, this positioning always takes place through an ironic humor, demonstrating how this resource is fundamental for the reproduction of the discourses in question.Item A multiplicidade de vozes discursivas em a Força do destino, de Nélida Piñon(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2014-01-28) Rodovalho, Ana Marta Ribeiro Borges; Fernandes Júnior, Antônio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3938086418078218; Fernandes Júnior, Antônio; Ribeiro, Erislane Rodrigues; Marisa Martins, Gama-KahlilTo undertake an analytical work of a literary text through the prism of Discourse Analysis (AD) is a complex task, because it starts from a conception of language as an area where discourses are materialized, which are mobilized under the effect of opacity in a field of movement and displacement of directions. The complexity of this kind of work is due to the fact that such responses require considering the process of constituting the subject through discourse in its relation to the history, the conditions under which the discourse was forged, and also consider the social function and specificity of the aesthetic object. In this context, it is up to analyst to observe, to understand and to interpret linguistic and aesthetic aspects, taking into account, mainly, that such aspects are articulated to the socio-historical and cultural-ideological elements, put into play in the work. Should keep in mind, though, that the literary text, as another texts, imposes questions that need resolution. In the production of the effects of meaning in the text, these questions dialogue with exteriority and require answers to several questions such as: who sets out the work, about who or what, when, for whom, why and how sets out. From this position, this research proposes a reading of the novel A Força do Destino (AFD), by Nelida Piñon, under French AD, in interface with the dialogical-polyphonic studies of Bakhtin. The work taken as a corpus of this study is a metafictional narrative in which, through the parody, the narrator dialogues with the characters and the reader, updating, thus, the plot of the Italian opera La Fuerza del Destino, by G. Verdi. To scrutinize the effects of meaning produced in the discursive game established in the narrative, we affiliated, methodologically, with Foucault's studies on the discursive subject, considering that the relations between the subjects shown in the materiality are crossed by knowledge and power. In addition, we also use as a method, the notions of dialogism and polyphony, considering the (in) tense dialogue between discursive voices which is materialized in the work. Based on this methodology, we aimed to understand how subjects are organized to enunciate in AFD, from a dispersed and discontinuous dialogue, provocateur effects. And, to clarify how the multiplicity of voices in dialogue discursive materiality destabilizes the concept of author in postmodern narrative.Item O subsistema de atitude no discurso de cinco professoras de letras que atuam fora da área específica de formação em Catalão - GO(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2020-02-18) Gomes, Ingride Chagas; Almeida, Fabíola Aparecida Sartin Dutra Parreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9997730511011881; Almeida, Fabiola Aparecida Sartin Dutra Parreira; Bengezen, Viviane Cabral; Silva, Edna Cristina Muniz daThis work has the main objective of investigating the discourse of teachers of basic education in Catalão-GO, who teach subjects that are not of their specific training. To do so, I use the Appraisal System as a theoretical basis, which falls within the scope of Systemic-Functional Linguistics. The aim was to find out how the teacher who works outside the area of his education sees himself within this social context where he works, identifying and analyzing the lexical-grammatical elements used by the participants when analyzing their teaching practice. The corpus used was extracted from semi-structured interviews conducted with five teachers graduated in Literature and who teach other subjects besides the Portuguese / English Language and work in the municipal education system in the city of Catalão-GO. These interviews were recorded and transcribed. Then, the corpus was submitted to the computational tool WordSmith Tools 4.0, which was used to assist in the quantitative analysis for the categorization of the data collected. This research is directed from Applied Linguistics, from Functional Systemic Linguistics and, more specifically, from the Appraisal System proposed by Martin and White (2005). This System is subdivided into three types: attitude, engagement and gradation. Of these three, our qualitative analyzes are based on the Attitude Subsystem that expresses the evaluations of affection, judgment and appreciation. The theoretical framework is based on the studies of Halliday (1994) and Martin and White (2005), who are the researchers who disseminated the Systemic-Functional theory and the Appraisal System. This system has the function of systematizing, describing and analyzing evaluation in language, a factor that led us to choose the Appraisal System to be the basis of our analyzes. I also based myself on the postulates of Almeida (2010), Vian Jr. (2010) and Fuzer and Cabral (2014), which are references regarding the spread of research developed within the scope of the LSF and the Appraisal System in Brazil. The results showed that there is a large amount of self-assessments of affection and judgment, evaluations that indicated the discomfort felt by these teachers when working outside their specific area of training. In addition, the participants also provide assessments of appreciation of classes, disciplines and the management team. It was possible to note that the conduct and analysis of the interviews with these teachers promote a critical reflection on this reality in the educational context, that is, that of teachers deviated from their specific training. I hope that this research will contribute to future works developed in the area of Applied Linguistics and Functional Systemic Linguistics.Item Um olhar discursivo sobre a fluência em língua inglesa(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2013-07-25) Vieira, Evelyn Cristine; Stafuzza, Grenissa Bonvino; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0086982782870395; Stafuzza, Grenissa Bonvino; Ribeiro, Erislane Rodrigues; Guilherme, Maria de Fátima FonsecaThis dissertation aimed at investigating how teachers and students from language schools enunciate about fluency related to the teaching and learning process of English language as a foreign language (FL). For this, we used an interface between Applied Linguistics (AL), Dialogical Discourse Analysis (DDA) and French Discourse Analysis (DA) in order to substantiate theoretically our research. In AL area, we discussed the concepts of foreign language, fluency, methodologies and teaching approaches traditionally used. In the scope of DDA, we aimed at verifying, mainly, the dialogical relations which are established in the sequences collected in our research, once we understand that each sequence is a connection in a bigger chain of sequences, in which dialogical relations happen, according to Mikhail Bakhtin and other scholars of Bakhtin Circle. In DA area, we reflected upon the notions of discourse, subject, effects of sense and imaginary formations based on the studies of Michel Pêcheux, and also Michel Foucault with the concepts of knowledge and power. Our path for this research was theoretical investigation, about the authors who compose the interface suggested here, use of AREDA (SERRANI-INFANTE, 1998) as a methodological tool for data collection, transcription of the data and data analysis. It is important to state that people who took part in our research were teachers and students involved in the English language teaching and learning process, as a foreign language, from language schools which use the communicative approach. This particularity of the research allowed us to see, based on the collected corpus, the discursive inscriptions which the subjects do when they enunciate about fluency. It means the subjects, when enunciating about fluency, inscribe themselves in the illusion of completeness, inscription of knowledge-power, inscription in know-how (knowledge and practice). In this way, we present how teachers and students subscribe themselves in grammar, vocabulary, possibility of mastery in a foreign language, the native speaker image or academic and professional status desired by the English language knowledge, and others. It was possible to verify, from this research, that fluency in English language, as a desired object, is represented exclusively related to speaking skill. Thus, there is a discourse, legitimized by language schools, according to which “knowing a foreign language means speaking this language”. From these discourses, others are produced regarding what teaching, learning and knowing the English language represent, and other senses emerge about fluency.Item “Poder por amor ao poder”: uma análise discursiva das relações de poder em 1984, de George Orwell(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2015-04-10) Tiago, Héllen Nívia; Fernandes Júnior, Antônio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9030434824436730; Fernandes Júnior, Antônio; Stafuzza, Grenissa Bonvino; Piovezani Filho, Carlos FélixThe Work 1984 by George Orwell portrays a society that the state imposed it on the population of totalitarian form, both for control of the actions of individuals and the creation of many scattered control devices and surveillance at various points of the city, is in workspaces or in domestic and public spaces. In this authoritarian regime, the State oppresses and torture individuals, causing resistance of some and adhesion others. Such issues will be observed in the society portrayed in the romance, so we can discuss how power compose and challenges the subject, influencing your production pathways controlled by such systems of power. In this sense supported by analysis of foucaultina perspective of discourse, we set out to reflect on the constitution of the subject and the power relations that emerge from the 1984, through standard-setting instruments that "promote" the docile the subject submitted to totalitarian society , narrated in the George Orwell novel. Starting from this objective, we will use Michel Foucault's studies present in the books A Arqueologia do saber (2007), Vigiar e Punir: nascimento da prisão (1999), Microfísica do Poder (1986), among others, in which the discussion on the topic power is highlighted. We will take the concept of statement as the romance sequences analysis procedure to observe the following questions: how power is exercised in the novel? What are the possibilities of resistance to totalitarian power deployed in the novel? Therefore, the practices and discursive processes that promote social control and the constitution of the subject will be observed. Therefore this study aims to analyze how is (in) the (s) subject (s) in the work of Orwell, and how power is exercised, ruling and taming offenders. The analyzes indicates that in the first instance, there is an exclusionary effect of the rebel guy, who happens to be characterized as a rebel / resistant. In a second moment, looks at how the subject "rebel", to be exposed to disciplinary practices, exercised in prison, becomes the party statutes, changing the position occupied at the beginning of the narrative. Thus, from the analysis of discursive sequences, cut and analyzed in our research object, we see that there is the emergence of speeches aimed at normalization of subject, for only then be able to be (re) inserted within the fictional society of Orwell. Thus, the statements analyzed point for relations of power and disciplinary practices that seek to standardize and regulate the subject transgressor.Item O sujeito professor no discurso de autoajuda(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2013-07-26) Silva, Samuel Cavalcante da; Stafuzza, Grenissa bonvino; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0086982782870395; Stafuzza, Grenissa Bonvino; Góis, Marcos Lúcio de Sousa; Fernandes Júnior, AntônioThis research aims to analyze the discursive effects of identity processes, observed in Brilliant parents, fascinating teachers, from Augusto Cury, one of the representative authors of selfhelp literature in Brazil. We used as theoretical and methodological devices French Discourse Analysis postulates, from Michel Pecheux´s and Michel Foucault´s contributions. Specifically we focus in this research, the notions of speech, subject and production conditions from Pêcheux and of subject/power, power/knowledge, ways of subjectivity and disciplinary practices from Michel Foucault. As a methodological approach we propose the description of statements based on the proposal for the development of Foucault's archaeological method. With the theoretical-methodological support we´ve analyzed the book in order to identify the identity processes proposal of the teacher subject. We observed a discourse that takes place in certain production conditions. The enunciator subject determines the places occupied in the process of dialogue which are: the place of an enunciator who holds a scientific knowledgepsychological, that aims, through a disciplinary and pastoral power, to establish truth regimes on the subject/reader/teacher, and the reader subject, a place determined by the enunciator, as the subject of the lack, one that is lost and need guidance to act promptly in your profession. It is proposed to the teachers subjects certain disciplines that constitute ways of subjectivity, which aims to get the discursive subject in a discursive mash, in order to make it docile and useful. For this, the enunciator establishes interdiscursive relationships with the following discourses: scientific, religious, and with official discourses on education as Parameters National Curriculum (PNC), this interdiscursivity shown produce senses since an identification with what is being said as true until the intimidation, punishment for mistakes. We´ve noted that the proposal of constitution of the teacher subject in this self-help discursivity is of an individual, homogenized subject, that will revolutionize education, a kind of sweet superhero. It is a discoursivity which imposes certain disciplines and does not respect the singularities.
