Nas páginas dos manuais de livros didáticos de língua portuguesa: uma análise sobre os gêneros multimodais

Abstract

This work is in the field of Education, with a concentration on Portuguese language teaching. The documentary research was based on the analysis of multimodal genres in three sixth grade Portuguese language textbooks. Thus, it presented as a problem: How are multimodal genres studied in three collections of sixth grade textbooks adopted in municipal schools of Goiânia Goiás? The general objective of the research was to analyze and understand the use of multimodal genres in these sources. By means of a research carried out on the FNDE/SIMAD website, the most used works in the Municipal Teaching Network of Goiânia were assessed, and this was, therefore, the selection criterion. The listed sources were: "Se liga na lingua"; "Apoema: Portuguese 6 and "Tecendo linguagens: língua portuguesa: 6º ano. Based on the listed teaching sources, we investigated the use of the term multimodal in the books; the arrangement of multimodal genres in the books, as protagonists or as an integral part of chapters; the multimodal genres present in the books, as well as the exercises developed based on multimodal genres. The research was based on the enunciative-discursive theory of Mikhail Bakhtin, the multimodality theory of Kress and van Leeuwen (1996), the studies about literacy, multilingual pedagogy and multimodal genres in Kleiman (2002), Soares (2002), Ribeiro (2016, 2018, 2021) and Rojo (2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2019). It was found the use of the term multimodal genre and similar ones such as: multisemiotic text, verbovisual text, and multimodal text in the analyzed books. It was observed that multimodal genres HQ and advertisement were chapter protagonists in "Se liga na lingua", as well as visual poem and blog (digital genre) as an integral part of chapters. In Apoema: Portuguese 6, the multimodal genre ad was found to be the protagonist of chapter and the digital genre blog, as an integral part of unit. In "Weaving Languages", the multimodal genres visual poem and infographic were seen as integral parts of the chapter. The use of a variety of multimodal genres was verified in the textbooks analyzed, for example, cartoons, cartoons, comic strips and advertisements. Therefore, it was verified that multimodal genres are present in the analyzed textbooks, and the exercises elaborated based on them contemplated the mentioned language practices.
