Abstract

This study aimed to investigate what has been researched and studied in national scientific articles dealing with the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT) and technology in the teaching of Physics and Mathematics, using as a data source the scientific academic journals published on the online research platform of Google Scholar during the period from 2000 to 2022. For the methodology was used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR), qualitative. Data collection was done by advanced search of articles available on Google Scholar. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were established for data collection. For the inclusion criteria it was defined: articles written in Portuguese, made available in the period between 2000 and 2022, dealing with the use of technologies in the teaching and learning of Physics and Mathematics, with free PDF download. The data were organized in a qualitative and quantitative way. Graphs were constructed to analyze the quantitative data and word clouds to analyze the qualitative data. Before the words that stood out in the clouds of words is that defined the following categories for the articles: teaching and learning of Physics; teaching and learning of Mathematics; ICT in teaching Mathematics; ICT in teaching Physics. A total of 155 articles referring to the period 2000 to 2022 were selected. The results show that the didactic use of DICT as: educational software; internet; virtual simulations; digital games; WhatsApp; YouTube; digital platforms; computer; applications and notebooks, serve to improve and assist the classes of mathematical and physical content. In addition, studies highlight that ICT has the advantage of arousing curiosity, creativity, motivation, interactivity and dynamism in education, even though ICT offers advantages for education, there are also the challenges and concerns of teachers regarding the need for teacher training, investments of updated digital resources, school infrastructure and quality internet in school environments. The research also reports on the importance of producing more scientific papers related to the areas of Physics and Mathematics, since there are few publications that address this topic of study.
