O livro didático e as novas geotecnologias para o ensino de geografia: estudo de caso nos municípios de Marabá e Parauapebas (PA)

Abstract

Geotechnologies emerged in the world from the mid-twentieth century after World War II. Such tools are still an area of study in the initial phase of use by teachers, mainly in basic education in Brazil, due to the fact that in their formative process, they did not have, on had little contact with, operating and handling geotechnological tools. With this, the objective of the research is to analyze and understand the limits and potentialities of geotechnologies in symbiosis with the textbooks of the 6th year of fundamental education in the cities of Marabá (PA), and Parauapebas (PA) in the approach of the physical- natural resources, and consequently develop instruments of methodological intervention for the Teaching of Geography. To carry out the research, a qualitative and quantitative research methodology was sought. In this way, we sought to work directly with the 6th year Geography books of a basic education school in the urban perimeter of the city of Marabá (PA), and another in Parauapebas (PA). This instrument will allow for results where basic education teachers can streamline the teaching of geography in schools with a more active participation of students stimulating their curiosity about areas beyond the school walls, resulting in a more effective educational process, as it enables the expansion of knowledge in a more critical way, creating forms of communication and learning. It is concluded that the research can strengthen the teacher's identity, in addition to improving their preparation for teaching, as geoctechnologies can allow the student's reality to be worked on in the classroom in a more plausible way, leading to freedom in terms by FREIRE (2016) through the pedagogical exercise of practice.
