O potencial educativo na obra afro-feminina O tapete voador de Cristiane Sobral

Abstract

ln the last two decades, Afro-feminine literature, which refers to the production of black female writers whose writing is guided by dreams of emancipation, freedom, otherness and the construction of their autonomy, emerged in the Brazilian scenario, from collectives of black women who organized themselves to express themselves through prose and poetry, seeking to demystify the black stereotype. Aiming to understand it as an instrument of struggle, we set out to identify which elements present in this literature can contribute to the (re)construction of the image of black women in Brazilian society. For this, this study problematizes the representation of female characters in some short stories from the work Tapete Voador, by Cristiane Sobral, as a mechanism for reflection, debate and deconstruction of stereotypes about black women in Brazilian society. This is a qualitative bibliographic research, with an analytical character, in which recent theoretical formulations on Afro-feminine literature and the writing of black female authors in Brazil are presented, and a criticai analysis of the chosen short stories, which have in common the proposition of a political black woman-body, with discussions around black feminist movements and representational relations that value the role of black women in Afro-Brazilian culture in the construction of an education for ethnic-racial relations.
