dc.description.abstractThe research aimed to understand the representations of the environment expressed by residents of Rancharia in your living daily life in their social relations and environmental practices, in order to obtain information and guidelines that may assist with programs and environmental education in the community and possibly regional and national levels. Modern society is causing rapid changes in the environment, generating some of the impacts and conflicts, especially in local communities, interfering in economic, social and cultural set daily. Moreover, certain mitigatory projects and environmental education seem to consider more expectation and interest of the entities that propose that the populations involved.Accordingly, as the residents of Rancharia are related and represent the environment? What are the meanings they attach to it? How are experienced everyday social relations and environmental practices? As representations, everyday practices and experiences can contribute to environmental education? The investigation was guided by the qualitative research methodology because it allows the study of values, beliefs, habits, attitudes, representations and subjective aspects, like understanding of reality, relevance and meaning that the phenomena have for the social subjects. The research relied on the help of employees interviewed, especially those residing for more time on site, please understand that these guys lived through these changes in the environment over time and therefore carry their memories experiences, meanings, and personal transformations and their social group. The results indicate some suggestions for environmental education in the area searched.eng
dc.description.resumoA pesquisa teve como objetivo compreender as representações sobre meio ambiente manifestadas pelos moradores de Rancharia em seu viver o cotidiano, em suas relações sociais e práticas ambientais, com o intuito de obter informações e orientações que possam contribuir com programas e ações de educação ambiental na comunidade e, possivelmente, a nível regional e nacional. A sociedade moderna está causando rápidas transformações no ambiente, algumas delas geradoras de impactos e conflitos, principalmente em comunidades locais, interferindo nas relações econômicas, sociais e culturais estabelecidas cotidianamente. Além disso, determinados projetos mitigatórios e de educação ambiental parecem considerar mais a expectativa e o interesse das entidades que os propõem do que das populações envolvidos. Nesse sentido, como os moradores de Rancharia se relacionam e representam o ambiente? Quais os significados que atribuem a ele? Como são vivenciadas cotidianamente as relações sociais e as práticas ambientais? Como as representações, práticas e vivências cotidianas podem contribuir com a educação ambiental? A investigação foi guiada pela metodologia da pesquisa qualitativa, por permitir o estudo de valores, crenças, hábitos, atitudes, representações e aspectos subjetivos, como compreensão da realidade, relevância e significados que os fenômenos têm para os sujeitos sociais. A pesquisa contou com a ajuda dos colaboradores entrevistados, principalmente aqueles que residem há mais tempo no local, por entender que estes sujeitos vivenciaram as mudanças ocorridas no ambiente ao longo do tempo e, por isso, suas lembranças carregam experiências, significados e transformações pessoais e de seu grupo social. Os resultados apontam algumas sugestões para a educação ambiental na área pesquisada.por
