Educação socioambiental e geografia: práticas e didáticas para a mediação significativa em Catalão (GO)

Abstract

This research aims to list the important role of Environmental Education in the present day/ capitalocene and its abstraction through unconventional resources as dynamic practical activities and interactive games, fostering meaningful learning in Geographic Education. Focusing on the development of skills, abilities and attitudes developed through Socio- environmental Education, with students of Basic Education in Elementary School I and II. In what the research methodology will be conceived in qualitative and quantitative focusing on bibliographic research. For the research were used books, articles, field report, magazines, dissertations and theses. Practical and didactic proposals were made for the teaching of Environmental and Geographic Education in the Municipality of Catalão, such as: ecological horticulture, bingos and quizes. It is considered that the results obtained in this research satisfactorily achieved the desired objectives, due to the fact that the activities suggested to be well executed may have excellent results and full participation of the students of the two classes, demonstrating concisely that the break with traditional classes can lead the student to a higher level of abstraction and participation and especially develop socio-environmental awareness in school and at home, to preserve what we have left for future generations. It is emphasized that significant didactic mediation is made through mutual cooperation between the student and the teacher, and is indispensable for a qualitative, critical and renewing teaching.
