Resumo
In this dissertation a work proposal is presented from discussions established in the classroom with the students. The study in question aims to understand concepts related to the content of balance and elasticity based on practices developed in a collaborative way and that are linked to everyday life. To this end, a didactic sequence based on the principles of Critical Meaningful Learning is proposed. With a view to the engagement and motivation of students, a work is proposed through approaches to the active methodologies of Design Thinking and Project-Based Learning. The research was carried out in the first half of 2019 in person and was based on assumptions of a qualitative research using the case study. In this research, prototypes were built by the students from popsicle sticks to be submitted to mechanical tests in order to observe the elastic behavior of the structure in question. A real object was built from prototypes that can be used by the local school community, a seat made of reinforced concrete. The results show a promising engagement of students in carrying out practical and theoretical activities, as well as a strong motivation to participate in classes compared to traditional lectures. In the development of the classes, a progressive commitment of the students was verified in the interest of questioning concepts of Physics in the accomplishment of the practical and theoretical activities. In this sense, the experience lived in the application of this product shows signs of significant learning and problems that can be overcome when working in an interdisciplinary way with other disciplines as well as extending the class time.
