Abstract
This study investigates the implementation of educational inclusion policies in the state of Goiás, focusing on the difficulties faced by School Inclusion Support Professionals (PAIE). The research, qualitative in nature and based on documentary analysis, seeks to understand how legislation, especially the Brazilian Inclusion Law (LBI), 13146 of 2015, favors the inclusion of students with disabilities in regular schools, in addition to emphasizing the importance of these professionals in the learning process. Other legislation also reinforces the need for these professionals, such as the Federal Constitution (art. 208, III), the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA) and Decree No. 7,611/2011, which regulates special education in Brazil. The study also addresses the legal frameworks and public policies that support the work of PAIEs, considering the evolution of special education and the advances that have occurred in recent decades. To this end, documents from legislative websites, the State Department of Education (SEDUC- GO) and digital platforms were analyzed, with the aim of building an overview of the reality of inclusive education in Goiás, in addition to the perspectives of researchers specialized in Inclusive Special Education. The central objective of the research is to analyze the implementation of inclusion policies, specifically with regard to school inclusion support professionals (PAIE) in Goiás. To this end, the research seeks to answer the question: How have policies aimed at PAIEs been applied in the state of Goiás? To this end, we will seek to meet your needs. specific objectives: Examine school inclusion policies, their legal bases, their theoretical supports and the processes through which they move towards special education in the state of Goiás; Collect data that provides greater knowledge of the scenario of public policies aimed at School Inclusion Support Professionals; Map the federal and state regulations that regulate the activities of these professionals. The structure of the work will be organized as follows: I – Contextualization of the trajectory of Special Education and Inclusion; II – Challenges and advances: the post-2008 National Special Education Policy and the role of professionals in supporting school inclusion; III – The influence of the Brazilian Inclusion Law (LBI) on the work of PAIEs and the search for an inclusive perspective; Finally, Final Considerations will be presented.
