Saúde do trabalhador idoso: uma reflexão teórica

Abstract

With the increase in life expectancy, humans are present for longer in their social activities, including work, presenting needs for this permanence due to financial and sociocultural issues. The human aging process entails physiological and pathological changes, with occupational activity these changes can be enhanced, compromising the healthy aging process, inferring the quality of life of the worker. Therefore, the study becomes of paramount importance to reflect on the relationship of this phenomenon. For that, we produced two articles independently. In the first study we presented an integrative review on the health of elderly workers and aspects of prevention and health promotion, analyzing the publication of studies in four databases, analyzing the studies achieved that deal with themes related that can be deepened and correlated with the theme the health of elderly workers. In the second study, a theoretical essay was carried out referring to the theme in question with a more enlightened look at public policies aimed at the elderly, in particular for the elderly worker, leveraging constitutional issues, the presence of public policies and the need to verify the effectiveness the same.
