As histórias do assentamento Olga Benário em Ipameri-Go na memória dos trabalhadores

Abstract

The research built the history of the Olga Benário settlement, signified in the memories of the interviewees. It was explored how issues such as agrarian reform, rural social movements and the characteristics of settlements appear in the memories. In the struggle for the conquest of the land, an informal education practice was identified, constituted in the different knowledges. Focusing on the needs and difficulties faced by the residents of that settlement. A bibliographic research was carried out, and interviews were produced, based on the authors: Alessandro Portelli, Yara Khoury, exploring how memories offer a field of political dispute. Also, a teaching material was produced that tells the story of the Olga Benário settlement, in Ipameri-GO. A proposal that aims to revive the entire history of struggles for the land passed through by the residents of this settlement, as it appears that this history is being lost with time and needs to be rescued so that the new generations become aware of the events giving continuity to the fight.
