Capturas linguístico criminológicas na teia de Fausto Fawcett: uma abordagem sistêmico-funcional

Abstract

The present research consists of the capture and analysis of meanings and representations involved in acts of transgression present in the lyrics of the composer Fausto Borel Cardoso (Fausto Fawcett). Almost all of the author's compositions in the 1980s have as protagonist characters in transgressive acts, women, blondes, strong, emancipated, determined and justified to carry out their acts. They are narratives/manifesto denouncing criminological phenomena that arise or become evident in the historical period situated in the 1980s in Brazil, more precisely in Rio de Janeiro. The theoretical and practical proposal is limited to, from the bases of Cultural Criminology and Systemic-Functional Linguistics (L.S.F.), identify these social-criminological complaints as a way of understanding the transgressive phenomena contained in the author's lyrics. The methodological proposal traces a path of analysis of the author's lexical intentionality in four of his letters, using the methodology of Systemic-Functional Linguistics to capture representations and meanings that define the characters, as well as their experiences and achievements, serving as a preparatory method. analysis of the phenomena experienced by them from the perspective of Cultural Criminology. The main objective of the research is to demonstrate that the Transitivity System outlined in the L.S.F. it can serve as an auxiliary method of analysis and understanding of the captures undertaken within Cultural Criminology. The results found demonstrate the feasibility of the methodological choice in the face of the wealth of representational elements found in the research that, in addition to the cultural symbologies that involve the characters, their acts and their reflections, denote the timelessness and actuality of the criminological phenomena analyzed in the study.
