Resumo
This research aimed to analyze the literary and journalistic character of some chronicles written by Carlos Drummond de Andrade, published in the early 1970s, in the Caderno B of Jornal do Brasil and later in book entitled De notícias e não notícias faz-se a crônica, whose first issue date of 1974. Tewnty-two chronicles of that work were analyzed, in addition to the chronicles "Leilão do ar" (1969) and "Ciao" (1984), respectively the debut text and the chronicler’s farewell in the Jornal do Brasil and are not present in the work used as corpus. It was also cited the chronicles "Vende a casa", published in the book Cadeira de Balanço, which was first published in 1966 and the chronicle "O frívolo cronista," published in the book Boca de Luar (1984). Besides the hybrid nature of journalism and literature, it was explored in the texts analyzed, several voices as history, memory, eveyday life and identity. We understand chronicle as a textual type that deals directly with eveyday life, which makes use of everyday facts as raw material for its composition, accordingly we dialogue with the line of research Literature, Memory and Identity. The aim was to present the chronicle as an important narrative to memory, history, but with touches of literary representation, as Drummond knew how to do, attaching poetic to his writings. In order to enrich this research, it was necessary dialogue with studies by theoretical literature addressing the issue of literary language, is the case of Massaud Moisés (1978) and Antonio Candido (2004), for example. In addition to authors who have studied chronicle and literary journalism as Pereira (1994), Vicchiatti (2005), Lima (1990), Olinto (1994) and Borelli (1996). We also have the essential contribution of theoretical memory as Le Goff (1992), Nora (1993) and Halbwachs (2006). Therefore, this study was to feature an interdisciplinary approach. It was necessary to establish dialogues with different areas of knowledge to better conceptualize and further research, concluding that Drummond did poetry, chronicle and journalism in his prose. This work does not intend to be a comprehensive approach than was the chronicle work of Drummond, is only one line of analysis and not exhausted.
