Estatística e trânsito: a conscientização por meio de um ensino contextualizado


The present work brings a cross - cutting theme to education that is very present in people 's lives: traffic. And it has the purpose of proposing a contextualized teaching of Basic Statistics focused on this theme. There is nothing to talk about in transit without the presence of concepts of this important and useful area of knowledge. We believe it to be an unprecedented and highly relevant approach to the socio-educational context in basic education. To this end, a second-year high school class with 30 students from a state college in the city of Goiânia was selected to develop a participatory research project, focusing on the contextualization of traffic-oriented statistics (more specifically on main infractions committed in Goiânia), trying to insert the theme in the classroom and familiarize the students with the subject. Here, the reader will find some concepts and definitions about the current traffic legislation in our country, inherent to the proposal of the work, as well as the concepts of descriptive statistics and application problems. All the problems proposed here were elaborated by the author with real data, collected from the transit agencies and, also, empirically \textit{in loco}.
