Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the NEPEDUCA Collection (Nucleus for Study and Research in Catalão Education), whose composition is constituted by sources of research interest in the History of Education. Its guiding question is: what is the potential of the NEPEDUCA collection as research sources for the History of Education? As a general objective: to analyze the NEPEDUCA Collection in terms of potential sources for the History of Education. In the specific objectives: to characterize the types of sources of the NEPEDUCA collection; historically present and contextualize the NEPEDUCA collection; describe and correlate research that used the NEPEDUCA collection as a source. Methodologically, it is a bibliographical research, subsidized by the theoretical framework of the field of History of Education, with emphasis on discussions about archives, collections and research sources. In the results, the institutionalization of the collection as a memory device and institution, constituting empirical bases for research, in the potential for investment in new research, with diverse clippings, themes and objects, of regional, national and international scope.
