Resumo
This paper discusses the field of education and relationship education in the city field of
Geography. The proposed discussion was guided by analyzing the reality of a school
field Catalan city (GO), from a historical analysis of the constitution of the School of
the field in Brazil to understand the local situation chosen for the research. Education in
/ of the field is a recent discussion started from 1990 with the articulation of social
movements and nongovernmental entities proposing a reflection on the role of the
school, the teacher, the curriculum and of the countryside in the constitution of an
education culture that valued the field. The struggle for education was part of the land
struggle led by these movements, driven by a desire to win the right to live off the land
and stay on the field. The historical analysis proposed by this work part of the rural
school of the empire in the sixteenth century and comes to a discussion of basic
education field of the twentieth century. This paper presents theoretical elements within
an empirical analysis, with the locus Municipal School Arminda Rosa de Mesquita.The
relationship between city and countryside teaching geography were analyzed by
combining field research with the analysis of the Political and Pedagogical school
textbooks used in the 3rd to the 5th Year There are a variety of elements that are
interwoven in the reality of the field, among them the devaluation of education that
happens on the field, lack of knowledge of public policies that would meet the school
field and the lack of recognition of the importance of the rural to urban society reflected
in the curriculum offered in schools and educational. Over the years the field of
Education was answered extemporaneously and labeled, which sometimes caused the
discouragement of those who believed it was possible to field a quality school. The
objective of this research is to understand the organization of the contents of the full
curriculum of geography in schools and multigrade serial field, with emphasis on ruralurban
relationship. To achieve these goals were used in theoretical research, desk
research and field research.
