Intoxicação por agrotóxicos no estado de Goiás

Abstract

Agriculture has always had a huge weight when it comes to Brazilian national policy, which involves all its productive sectors, called agribusiness. It has been moving our economy for years, it is the economic sector that most influences our GDP. In this sense, with the production process undergoing technological and organizational changes, always seeking to increase productivity, we have the intensification of the use of pesticides. Today we are the largest consumer in the world, thinking about how important agribusiness is today in our country, and the importance of studying this topic, which we seek through two studies to verify the incidence of cases of pesticide poisoning in Goiás. Through Study 1, we collected bibliographic data where already concluded studies available in the databases on the theme “the health of the rural worker” were identified. In Study 2, based on the reports released by CIATox-GO, identify the main records and their incidence, combining such data with the annual reports on the commercialization of pesticides made available by IBAMA. Thus seeking to highlight the reported cases of intoxication, identifying the evolution of their commercialization. Finally, carry out a reflection on the phenomenon of the use of pesticides and the health of rural workers.
