Business Process Management no apoio à mitigação de dificuldades e barreiras encontrados no uso do Lean Manufacturing

Abstract

The constant search for productive excellence and increasing competitiveness, leads industries to analyze their operational performance and seek new methods to help improve their processes. Among these methods, Lean Manufacturing (LM) stands out, whose main purpose is the reduction of waste and continuous improvement and quality control and improvement. Business Process Management (BPM) aims to systematize, facilitate and use strategies to manage organizational processes. Aiming to identify difficulties, barriers and suggestions found in the Lean implementation, a bibliographic study was carried out, through an exploratory, qualitative research, in which 42 works were analyzed, through a content analysis of Bardin (2011), it was possible to identify and categorize the main barriers encountered in the use of lean into seven, namely: problems in the lack of monitoring, control and continuation of the method, difficulties in the use and control of LM tools, lack of involvement and commitment, cultural difficulties and resistance to change, lack of training, lack of communicational access and lack of time, investment and leadership. From there, a solution perspective was proposed to mitigate each difficulty found, through concepts and methods of Business Process Management (BPM).
