Do curral ao laticínio: a memória dos leiteiros em Goiandira 1954 – 1990

Abstract

The present dissertation, aims, thinks about several meanings of memories socially construct by workers who transport milk in natura (milkmen) in Goiandira –GO. These are understanding like subjects (owners of trucks or carts, or their employees), that went through farms delivering milk to the dairies. This work consists of recover the experience, of a group of workers, who transport milk (milkmen), from their testimony, recovering the memory socially constructed by these subjects, analyzing the social and historical diversity, problematizing the political and social meaning assigned to these records, thinking about several personal positions shown in the versions of these subjects. The methodology used consisted, initially, in coordinate the collection and the organization of historical sources written or oral. In the case of written sources, first we tried to identify and catalog each document, and then analyze it. About oral sources, they were produced from semi-structure interviews, elaborated from an application of a comprehensive questionnaire, later they were transcribed. At the end, we developed as a result of the work, the dissertation, that will can be used like an instrument for teaching and searching in History, rescuing what has lived, giving meaning to historical experiences lost in time.
