O signo ideológico “trabalho” na mídia institucional

Resumo
When we consider that in our society there is a vast amount of meanings attributed to the
word "work", and that these senses are built on social interaction among subjects in a given
moment in history, we propose this research with the hypothesis that the discourses about
"work" propagated by the institutional media are directly linked to the social and therefore are
compounded by socio-historical conditions in which ideological they are inserted in,
(re)constructing the senses of this ideological sign. Thus, our overall objective is to study the
ideological sign "work" present in institutional media of multinational company Anglo
American Brazil. The specific objectives are i) to identify the discourses that emerge from the
institutional media about " work "; ii) to interpret the media reports publications by
positioning the company website about "work"; iii) analyze the senses produced from the
ideological sign "work" on/by the institutional media company, directed to the workers, and
envisioned by the community. The Anglo American is a multinational company that operates
in the business of mining, being one of the largest in the world, in this area of trades. It settled
in Brazil in 1973, and currently, the Group has about 87,000 employees around the world.
This study develops from the theoretical assumptions of Philosophy of Language, mainly by
the theories of Bakhtin Circle, addressing the concepts of ideological sign, statement, dialogue
and discursive genres, and also, the perception of “verbovisuais” statements, especially, by
the works of Bakhtin and Volochínov/Volóchinov (1930; 1976; 1997; 2003; 2006; 2017). We
based on, too, in the studies of social sciences, with Ricardo Antunes (2001; 2002; 2003;
2008; 2012; 2016) sociologist's research that addresses the theme of "work". As additional
foundation, we knowlodge our study in Charaudeau (2015), theoretician of French Discourse
Analysis, through the investigation of concepts of communication, information and their
logics reprodution. The corpus with which we develop the analysis encompasses six verbal
and “verbovisuais” statements aired by the Anglo American website and that treat the
multiple senses about the notion of the sign "work". Identified by analyses of verbal and
“verbovisuais” statements, that through the media discourse produced and aired by the
company, the meaning of the signs "work" and "worker" change and if “(re)mean”,
constructing a professional profile that dialogue with the company's interests.
