Ensinando Conceitos iniciais de termologia: uma unidade de ensino potencialmente significativa a ser desenvolvida na cozinha

Abstract

This study presents an educational product designed for high school physics teachers. The research aims to provide theoretical and methodological elements to foster meaningful learning of the concepts of Temperature and Heat by using experimental practice in the kitchen as a guiding teaching strategy. The methodology is based on the framework of Potentially Meaningful Teaching Units (PMTU), which seeks to contextualize learning by building on students' prior knowledge. Collaborative activities were developed, including the creation of a mind map, problem-solving exercises, and the group-based preparation of homemade yogurt. The results indicate that the didactic sequence can provide evidence of meaningful learning and holds promise for the development of interdisciplinary and contextualized approaches. This reinforces the potential for future research exploring further applications and extensions of this study.
