Abstract

Teaching and learning Mathematics content are considered difficult by teachers and students, respectively, due to several myths that have been passed on historically and the lack of inclusion of the use of digital technologies or other methodologies to assist the traditional methodology in the classroom. of class. Given this, new methodologies for teaching the subject have been introduced so that students not only lose their fear of it, but also learn effectively and have more interest in learning Mathematics. One of these novelties, not so recent anymore, is the use of Information and Communication Technologies in the classroom, so that the educational environment is more creative and stimulating and the teacher acts as a mediator of the activities that lead to knowledge and not just someone who transmits it to students. These technologies paved the way for the teaching of Logic, an ancient concept, to once again be part of Mathematics classes, with the contribution of technological tools. The general objective of this study was to produce a didactic sequence, in order to assist teachers and students in teaching Mathematical Logic, using the LOGISIM educational software. The specific objectives were: to develop a model that Basic Education teachers can apply in teaching Mathematical Logic; instigate reflection on the advantages of applying active methodologies in teaching Mathematics; provoke in teachers the desire to create new ideas for using this software and other methods in their classes, inserting Mathematics teaching into a more current perspective, using technological tools that are common to students' daily lives. This is bibliographical, exploratory and descriptive research, which proposes the use of a didactic sequence, consisting of seven classes, where students learn to execute logical commands in the software, which can be used at some point in their professional future.
