Resumo
The present work has the general objective of contributing, through research, to the dissemination of knowledge about materials with low environmental impact such as bamboo, through their effective use in social housing, where an analytical, descriptive study was carried out. and comparison between two construction systems, one traditional and the other alternative, with performance analysis through sustainability indices. In order for the objectives to be met, a methodological process was adopted, initially based on a literature review on central themes such as sustainability, focusing on the built environment and its dimensions; on social interest housing permeating sustainability issues; on bamboo as a low environmental impact building material, in addition to sustainability assessment methodologies, highlighting some national and international certifications. Preliminary studies were carried out on the Performance Standard, highlighting one of its criteria, the criterion of sustainability, since it is from this that this work proposes to evaluate sustainability in social housing. Having as a methodological reference the Guia Selo Casa Azul, from Caixa Econômica Federal, two architectural projects were presented and analyzed, obtaining sustainability indices from them. In view of the sustainability indices found, it was possible to collect information about the scores and obtain the percentages of criteria met by project typology. The classification by grade level of the two projects was made, based on the evaluative criteria of the Selo Casa Azul Guide. The percentages of criteria met resulting from the analyzes are relevant so that there is an understanding of the importance of sustainability within a given aspect, be it environmental, sociocultural, economic and constructive. In view of the results obtained, it is concluded that the Casa Azul Seal is an important tool for the assessment of sustainability and that the sustainability criteria, dealt with by the Performance Standard, must be traced as goals within a planning, and that the dwellings of interest bamboo, are important in the sense of maintaining and conserving natural resources for future generations of the planet.
