A research consisted of the survey of bibliographical references on the central theme Occupational Health in mineral activity, and data collection through
interviews. semi-structured into entities that protect a health worker, such as the METABASE Union and the Occupational Health Reference Center (CEREST), and at Miner X that employs workers and workers in mineral production. The METABASE Union still reproduces Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine, but they have already taken the initial step of knowing public health policies within the SUS, relating to the Municipal Health Council and the implementation of the Intersectoral Commission on Occupational Health. It is concluded that there is a real need for managers to know more deeply about the Occupational Health proposal and to understand the centrality that work has in the lives of workers that are directly related to the production of health or disease in the various territories.
