| dc.description.abstract | This research is part of the Postgraduate Program in Language Studies (PPGEL), of the Federal University of Goiás - Regional Catalão (UFG) / Federal University of Catalão (UFCAT). It aims to investigate, by way of lexical-grammatical elements, through the Attitude subsystem within the Evaluative System (HALLIDAY and MARTIN, 2005), how users of the social network Twitter position themselves and express their opinions on the 1st anniversary of the rupture of the dam of Córrego do Feijão mine in Brumadinho - MG. Thus, analyzing the Attitude subsystem in the investigated tweets, this work aims to contribute to the studies in Applied Linguistics, as well as in the Systemic-Functional Linguistics presented by Halliday (1994), which starts from the argument that language is a system of choices and that, by these choices, the interaction of individuals is possible. This theory is divided into three metafunctions of language, namely: ideational, textual, and interpersonal, which are understood and describe the linguistic components of a sentence. In addition to the theory used for this investigation, the computer program WordSmith Tools 7.0 was used to identify and contextualize the lexical-grammatical elements of Attitude present in the corpus. The Assessment System enabled the recognition of the types of Attitude (affection, judgment, and appreciation) about the tragedy that occurred in Brumadinho - MG, in which the participants demonstrate feelings, judgments, and values when mentioning what happened in their timeline. Therefore, in qualitative analysis, it is possible to note that users' tweets evaluate the event by three macro-categories: a) Brumadinho and Vale and their directors; b) Brumadinho and the victims and c) Brumadinho: tragedy or crime? Through the results achieved and the theoretical-methodological references, this study understands the occurrence of negative polarity in the analyzed tweets, in which users expressed their opinions. Most of the type of impact reaction was found through the Evaluation System compared to the other subtypes. | eng |
| dc.description.resumo | Esta pesquisa está inserida no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Estudos da Linguagem (PPGEL), da Universidade Federal de Goiás –Regional Catalão (UFG)/Universidade Federal de Catalão (UFCAT)1. Tem como objetivo investigar, por meio dos elementos léxico-gramaticais, através do subsistema de Atitude dentro do Sistema de Avaliatividade (HALLIDAY e MARTIN, 2005), como os usuários da rede social Twitter se posicionam e expressam suas opiniões sobre o aniversário de 1 (um) ano do rompimento da barragem da Mina Córrego do Feijão em Brumadinho – MG. Assim, ao analisar o subsistema de Atitude nos tweets investigados, este trabalho pretende contribuir para os estudos em Linguística Aplicada, bem como na Linguística Sistêmico-Funcional apresentada por Halliday (1994), que parte do argumento de que a língua é um sistema de escolhas e que, por 1 Em transição. essas escolhas, é possível a interação dos indivíduos. Além da teoria utilizada para esta investigação, foi utilizado o programa computacional WordSmith Tools 7.0 para a identificação e contextualização dos elementos léxico-gramaticais de Atitude presentes no corpus. O Sistema de Avaliatividade possibilitou o reconhecimento dos tipos de Atitude (Afeto, Julgamento e Apreciação) sobre a tragédia que ocorreu em Brumadinho – MG, em que os participantes demonstram sentimentos, julgamentos e valores ao mencionar o ocorrido em suas timeline. Portanto, nas análises qualitativas, é possível notar que os tweets dos usuários avaliam o acontecimento por três macro categorias: a) Brumadinho e a Vale e seus diretores; b) Brumadinho e as vítimas e c) Brumadinho: tragédia ou crime? Por meio dos resultados alcançados e dos referenciais teórico-metodológicos, compreende-se com este estudo a ocorrência da polaridade negativa nos tweets analisados, em que os usuários expressaram sua opiniões. Pelo Sistema de Avaliatividade foram encontrados em sua maioria o tipo de Reação de impacto comparada com os outros subtipos. | pt_BR |
