Item Implicações naturais e antrópicas responsáveis pelo desencadeamento de feições erosivas no Parque do Goiabal em Ituiutaba (MG)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2017-03-09) Braghiroli, Taison Luiz de Paula; Costa, Rildo Aparecido; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9663990267370816; Costa, Rildo Aparecido; Miyazaki, Leda Correia Pedro; Lima, João DonizeteMunicipal Park of Goiabal in the city of Ituiutaba (MG). This Park is located in the southern portion of the city and it is the only Sustainable Use Conservation Unit in the city. Goiabal was founded in 1977 but it was only inaugurated on May 1, 1986, in order to protect the exceptional attributes of the region's nature, to fully protect flora, fauna and other natural resources and to be used for educational, scientific, recreational and tourist purposes. The literature review sought to insert the research area in a broader context of soil degradation in protected areas, mainly due to soil characteristics and anthropic actions. The data of area characterization, sample collection, photographic records and erosion dimensions were obtained through fieldwork. The physical and mechanical characteristics of the soil were obtained through laboratory analysis of two samples taken at different points of the study, with grain size, humidity, particle density, compaction, organic matter and pH. Regarding the dimensions, the feature is 171 meters long, depth between 1 and 5.6 meters and width between 2.5 and 12.4 meters. The environmental problems in the Park are directly related to the use of the soil in the adjacent areas of the CU. This happens, although Goiabal's main function is to preserve and to explore tourism and environment, because it presents several conflicting situations as it is located within the urban area of the city and suffers all the possible pressures of an urban area. One of the main factors responsible for the soil degradation of the area is the decrease in rainwater infiltration and the increase of the velocity and volume of the surface runoff, due to soil sealing and a poor drainage system, increasing the erosive potential of rainfall. The analyzed soils presented, mostly, sandy texture, composed by clay minerals and acid pH. The compaction curve showed that the soil in the first erosion step requires less moisture to reach the maximum compaction point than the soil that is in the second step. Thus, it is necessary to think about the problem of urban erosion from the point of view of bad planning in the implementation of allotments and the appropriate disposal of rainwater.
