Thus, it was performed a case study with dynamic approach, with the purpose to promote, in high school, the study of geometry, plane geometry in particular, focusing on polygons. It was sought, from the manipulation of concrete materials, lead students to adopt a participatory posture in the construction of the own knowledge. The research was conducted with a class of second year of high school in a public school in the municipality of Catalão, Goiás.
