Given the remarkable cultural relevance intersemiotic translations (as defined by Jakobson, 1974; plaza, 2003; and Diniz, 1998, the transposition of something from one semiotic system to another) have, this work intends to deliver a comparative analysis between two works: the novella Story of your life, by Ted Chiang, and the picture Arrival (2016), directed by Denis Villeneuve.
