Caldas Novas is a tourist city located in the southern state of Goiás, with the main tourist attraction thermal waters, bringing every year thousands of tourists seeking leisure and therapeutic properties of the watershed. Although the physical conditions of the medium to maintain the water cycle, the ownership of the same leisure pursuits and their indiscriminate use is worrying and may occur the lowering of the aquifer by the lack of a policy that regulates its rational use.
