The context of the linear programming involves problems with two or three variables, since problems with many variables cannot be easily considered in a high school curriculum, especially due to the time required to solve such problems. The approach is developed under an algebraic point of view, in which the linear problem‟s solutions are obtained by a resolution of systems of linear equations. The approach also considers a numerical and computer simulation software, denominated Octave®, in order to solve those systems of linear equations and, consequently, this software may be used as a tool that allows extending such approach to solve linear programming problems with several decision variables.Item Demonstrações trigonométricas via geometria plana(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2014-08-06) Mendes, Cleiton Dias; Oliveira, Plínio José; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8075454624929535; Oliveira, Plínio José; Pereira, Jansen Moura; Santos Júnior, Porfírio Azevedo dosThis work has been presented with some trigonometric connections statements only using plane geometry. In this dissertation, the technique of direct expansion for the development of two differential equations order to solve a nonlinear equation and the approximate determination of the roots of order algebraic equation higher or equal to two, was used. For this purpose, it was initially shown the development of a differential equation of motion subjected to a nonlinear damping, which is represented by the equation of Duffing – Van der Pol. Generally, it’s not easy to obtain an approximated analytical solution for this type equation, but this study was done with the purpouse of illustrating the technique used in the work, solving type solving a problem in which these techniques are routinely used to obtain a solution. Studied for application in basic education, it presents a way to obtain the approximate roots of equations of second and third degrees, using the technique of direct expansion for the sake of comparison. Since there are formulas for resolving this, It was proved that is possible to determine the roots of high-order equations by using the same technique.Item Razão áurea: como motivação ao estudo de conteúdos matemáticos(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2014-11-19) Silva, Renato Rodrigues; Santos Júnior, Porfírio Azevedo dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5132806149453454; Santos Júnior, Porfírio Azevedo dos; Lemos, Glen Cézar; Galdino, André LuizThis work goal to show a possible relationship between the Golden Ratio with nature, animals, architecture, music and also as a motivation to study mathematics content, such as: ratio, proportion and arithmetic average, making the teaching learning more enjoyable. In this sense, the favorable aspects and obstacles to teaching and learning with mathematical modeling will be cited in the course of the work. It begins the conversation with a brief overview of the rise of Mathematical Modeling in the global education and Brazil in order to understand their real importance in the current school setting. The concepts necessary for the mathematical de nition of modeling are presented in the development of work with emphasis on the phases of the Mathematical Modeling proposed by Lourdes Almeida Werle in his book Mathematical Modeling in Basic Education . The paper also describes the mathematical modeling as a tool in the teaching of mathematics, highlighting the ve steps to implement the methodology of teaching by modeling suggested by Maria Salett Biembengut and Nelson Heim, in the book Mathematical Modeling in Education . It also highlights the materialization of the Mathematical Modeling as Jonei Cerqueira Barbosa, identifying three possible cases of distribution of the modeling tasks for teachers and students. The paper describes the importance of using the classical mathematical models in the initiation of mathematical modeling activities. The mathematical model proposed by Thales to calculate the height of a pyramid, described by Johannes Hisrschberger in the work history of philosophy in antiquity, and the model of Malthus to keep up with population growth, reported by Rodney Carlos Bassanezi, are mentioned to be aware of evolution of the classic mathematical models. The proposal of the classical mathematical model to calculate areas by division into plane gures is suggested for elementary education, secondary and higher education, realizing the idea that, by adaptations, the same theme can be explored at di erent times of mathematics teaching. Finally, the work presents three activities in the classroom with high school students so that they could live in practice the importance of Mathematical Modeling in teaching and learning.Item Aplicacao de determinante: area de poligono convexo e volume de piramide(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2015-06-17) Araujo, Elismar Jose de; Freitas, Thiago Porto de Almeida; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5154082262879445; Freitas, Thiago Porto de Almeida; Leandro, Bianka Carneiro; Oliveira, Plínio JoséThis work will concentrate on making a rereading of the theories that surround the procedures for calculating the area of a convex polygon, as well as the volume of a pyramid whose base is a polygon convex, with its vertices properly represented in a coordinate system, in the plan or in space, respectively. Addresses some topics on arrays and determinant and some of its applications, in particular the study of polygon area and the volume of the pyramid. Based on applying a decisive factor for the calculation of the area of a triangle with its vertices represented in a coordinate system, presents a new theorem to calculate the area of any polygon convex, as well as, a new formula to calculate the volume of any pyramid with convex basis as a direct application of the volume of the tetrahedron with its vertices represented in an orthogonal system. For both, it was essential to the concept of coordinates in the plane and in space, vectors in the plane and in space, and some of its properties, being essential for the demonstrate the volume of the tetrahedron and the area of the triangle, using determinant. Keywords: Volume. Area. Convex polygon. Pyramid. Triangle. Tetrahedron
