    O estado novo: história das mulheres na representação no Jornal das Moças de 1937 a 1945

    In this scientific report and in the didactic material elaborated on, how was the participation of women as historical subjects in the New State, period of Getúlio Vargas's government, from 1937 to 1945, using as historical source the "Jornal das Maças", aimed at the female audience, but written by men. In this material, it was analyzed how the image of Getúlio Vargas was represented and praised for the women readers of said vehicle of communication; it was shown how the hygienist period was portrayed; finally, the way the woman was characterized was shown in order to understand what her role and behavior should be, given chauvinism, intrinsic to society during the period studied, and also present in the pages of the “Jornal das Moças”. The teaching material produced in a booklet format, available in PDF format, is easy to access and is suitable for teachers who teach History to the public of the ninth year of the second stage of elementary education and the third year of secondary education, activities that can also be worked with other series. This didactic material has a great social relevance, because it presents a differentiating content, besides being rich in images and with accessible language.
