Item Motivação e satisfação no trabalho dos servidores técnicos administrativos em educação(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2015-01-19) Barros, Fernanda Costa; Silva, André Vasconcelos da; Silva, André Vasconcelos da; Ba, Serigne Ababacar Cisse; Bueno, Marcos; Nalini, Lauro Eugênio GuimarãesThe world of labor has changed dramatically over the past decades due to globalization, technological development and the mechanization of activities and for this, the organizations seek alternatives to become more competitive. The search for a better performance in organizations is closely linked to the behavior of workers. Among the factors that influence the workers behavior, there is the motivation and job satisfaction. In this context, this study has the purpose of measure the motivation and satisfaction of administrative staff servers assets of Federal Institutions of Higher Education (IFES) in the State of Goiás, with reference to the Expectancy Theory Vroom for the first construct and the Theory of Locke on job satisfaction. The research sample consisted of 239 administrative staff of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Goiás, Federal Institute Goiano and the Federal University of Goiás. In relation to the methodological procedures, this is a quantitative and descriptive research, using technical approach as the case study. Data collection was performed using the questionnaire on the server profile, the Job Satisfaction Questionnaire ( S20/23) and the Work Motivation and Meaning Inventory (IMST). The data obtained from the use of questionnaires were analyzed and processed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), from the calculations of average and standard deviations for each dimension of the instruments related to motivation (expectancy and instrumentality) and satisfaction (physical environment, hierarchical relations and work intrinsic) and the percentage distribution between classes scores. The results revealed by the survey showed high levels of motivation and satisfaction among technical institutions, however there has been a significant difference between the motivational force of technicians from the Federal Institute Goiano and other institutions.
